Yup, the seasoned pro that I am.... shot Anna & Adam's wedding near Cambridge - great fun, with my new assistant Annabel.

Lots of new branding stuff appearing soon - in fact between now and end of May when I am shooting Maria & Chris' wedding, I'll be sorting tons out.

Elliot's fantastic barmy party!

What a great party - everyone had such a great time at the Zoo!

Where have you been? ....

I know, I know.... I've been v busy. But - great news. New re-branding materials are approved and on their way - courtesy of awesome work done by my old mate Carey marks of Scarlet Design.

Getting ready for Elliott's Barmy tomorrow. And presented some funtastic shots of Joe's Barmy last night to his lovely family. And had a great lunch with wedding clients Ellie & Andrew - handing over their wedding album (sorry the little ones fell apart - sooo embarrassing!). And finished off with useful meeting with future wedding clients Melanie & Adam at their great wedding venue. And picked up fab wedding on November 21st. And, and, and....

Phew!

Already looking fwd to our week in the sun.

Oh... before I forget - got my Lumavue frames working. So will test the market and get the pricing model right.

What a week for Amie from London - her Batmizva celebrations were full of fun, music, laughs and the love of her family and friends!

Competition time!

I'm now running the inaugural competition for Paul Toeman Photography members. Since I love all types of photography ~ possibly with exception of yet more blurred fountains ~ I want to see how people take pictures of other people. Those "moments" that live on in photos are what matter - call it reportage or photo-journalism, whatever. I call it great people photography.

So I'm encouraging my friends to email me photos, which will be put through the judges' mill (me!) with the winning image being Photoshop'd to within an inch of its life, posted online and a free print + memory card sent to the winner!

This is the difference between people who do photography for a living (not me) ~ and photographers (me and PTP members).

When I'm working....

I miss being with my family, but it's the path I've chosen. So I've got to get the balance right, huh?

Last night - another superb party capping off a week of fun for a young lady called Amie. Her Batmitzvah was a really special event, surrounded by her loving family and friends all week, culminating in a great party in central London.

A truly wonderful wedding in the foothills of the Tower of London, followed by a relaxed reception at the River Lounge - loads of fun! The happy couple then kept the rinver theme going with a few days chilling in Venice. Awesome!

Joe's Barmy party

Again, I was privileged to be booked to cover a very special event - Joe's Barmitzvah party in central London - a lovely family, great guests who were in the mood from the off, fun novelty gifts all night, really helpful videographer, awesome venue, good food, great band and fun DJ.

Great fun tonight in Bushey - lovely girl, family, set of guests, and evening party. Really enjoyed myself. Put into practice the shooting from the video light lesson picked up in Vegas. Main shots to follow soon, but here are a few for now....

so, in the last week what have I actually achieved since arriving home from Vegas, I hear you ask?

well...
1. started the re-brand from Photoe to Paul Toeman Photography (PTP)
2. revised all relevant documentation
3. updated my blog layout etc.
4. spoken with a few local suppliers about promotional ideas
5. shot Sarah & Matt's wedding - photos done and up soon
6. been booked to do Avi & Ben's wedding at end August

but most importantly -
seen my kids run out onto the Arsenal home pitch as team mascots -

what a great day. treated to awesome sunny weather. lovely ceremony, stunning reception venue, great fun friends and superb food. all in all a great recipe for a great wedding - topped off by a gorgeous couple getting married. photos here soon.

A Song at Twilight

Was in the privileged position to watch and shoot a remarkable play last night - A Song at Twilight. Noel Coward's last play, currently showing at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester. Starring Peter Egan and Belinda Lang, it's a very powerful piece about repressed emotions, secret love and tortured frustration. It's also very funny in many places!

Las Vegas

Looking forward to going to the WPPI Convention at Las Vegas - a month from now! Dont really want to spend a week looking at lenses - and not even taking my camera. but really want to network like crazy. and understand what trends etc are coming out of the US. 2 years later they'll be here. so i want to be first off the block.

2008 was awesome, simply awesome
